Houston is reuniting C.J. Stroud with a former teammate who will only make him feel even more comfortable withe the organization. Their latest addition could also give them key depth at a vital position that they need to take as step forward in 2025.
Houston is signing former Texas Longhorns wide receiver Silas Bolden to their practice squad, according to reports. Bolden was high school teammates with quarterback C.J. Stroud at Rancho Cucamonga High School.

Bolden noted that it was a "surreal moment" to join Stroud in Houston. It is a bit of a homecoming the receiver, since he spent his college days in Texas.
For the quarterback in Houston, Stroud is set to have a bounce back campaign. Nico Collins is healthy. The offensive line has some new pieces who the staff is excited about entering the season. There is some intriguing upside at the running back position.
Additionally, the Texans also signed guard Sidy Sow and cornerback D’Angelo Ross to their practice squad. They have released guard Jaylon Thomas, tackle Reid Holskey, and linebacker K.C. Ossai.
