I arrived in the Sunshine State late Monday. Thanksgiving is my all time favorite holiday (even though I was born in Canada). I have family in Jacksonville and I still remember the first time I saw the Buccaneers on TV. It was 1979 and I started following the Bucs because of Doug Williams. Living in Canada, watching the Bucs on TV was virtually impossible. So, when I finally got to see them on TV in 1979 it just solidified my love for Bucs football.

I’ve been traveling to Tampa to see the Bucs since the early 1990s. I’ve been fortunate to remain friends with many of the people who share my passion. I’m happy to say that I’ll be seeing two of them at the Falcons game in 2 weeks. Thank you Steve and Jason and see you soon. When the NFL schedule came out in May, I saw that they were playing 3 home games squeezed around Thanksgiving and my Birthday. In their 50th season, this was a trip I just had to plan. I even dubbed it the Tampa Trifecta and it kicks off Sunday against the Arizona Cardinals. At 6-5 the Bucs are reeling so I’m hoping to lend my support this Sunday in their match-up with the Cardinals. These next 3 home games (Cardinals, Saints and Falcons) will go a long way to shaping their season.  I’m happy to say that I’ve only witnessed  5 losses in the 20+ games I’ve attended so fingers crossed for this weekend, toes too!! My next article will be a post game wrap up with hopefully some good news to report. Bucs beat Cardinals 27-17 as Simeon Rice gets inducted into the Bucs Ring of Honor is my prediction!
