The Injury Bug Continues to Haunt the Tennessee Titans

The Tennessee Titans have been facing plenty of injuries since they traveled to the state of California to take on the San Francisco 49ers. Despite picking up a victory to kickstart the Robert Saleh era, the Titans' bad news would dim the positives.

It was reported that there were two season-ending injuries. The players who the Titans lost for the season include defensive lineman Jaylen Harrell and rookie tight end Jaren Kanak.

Kanak suffered a season-ending pec injury that will sideline him for the entire season, which was horrible news for the Titans to receive. He was expected to be a key player for special teams, considering he has a deep background on both defense as a linebacker and tight end on the offensive side of the ball.

Unlike Kanak, Harrell suffered an ACL injury, which will leave the Titans with limited depth on the defensive line. Harrell wasn't expected to be a starter, but he was expected to have some reps as a second-and-third-stringer on the line.

While these two injuries have been reported consistently, there are a handful of other injuries the Titans have.

Three New Tennessee Titans Injuries

Another rookie is hurt for the Titans, as former Penn State Nittany Lions running back Nick Singleton is set to be one of the players who could miss some time. He is also joined by a veteran in the running back room, as Tony Pollard suffered an injury and will miss minimal time as well. Both of the injuries majorly impact the running back room, which leaves the Titans with Michael Carter, Julius Chestnut, and Tyjae Spears as the primary running backs in relief following the injuries.

Another player who has been injured behind the scenes is Jacob Martin. Martin is a menace off the edge and has been torturing the Titans' offensive tackles. He will be needed for the upcoming season, as he has even been one of the players competing for a starting gig.

There is a Bright Side

There is a bright side when it comes to these injuries. None of these injuries seem to be long-term, and it seems reasonable that the three players could be at practice even before the Seahawks game later this week.

Even if they were to miss the Titans' preseason game against the Seahawks, it seems reasonable that they will be back before the Chicago Bears games, leaving little doubt that they will be good to go come Week 1 against the New York Jets.
