Cam Skattebo Will Be the New York Giants RB1 in 2026

Cam Skattebo seemlingly was everywhere in the 2026 NFL Offseason, from doing a backflip at Fanatics Fanfest that gave fans serious concern after he was coming off a major annkle injury, as well as multiple hilarious clips from his podcast. Now there is no more time for little stories like these because it is solely football time, something that Skattebo is still phenomenal at.

The New York Giants faced the Minnesota Vikings during week one of the preseason, and take a look at every one of his rushes from that game:

Just How Good is Cam Skattebo?

n 2025, Skattebo had 410 rushing yards, 207 receiving yards and seven touchdowns in eight games before his injury, and while these numbers don't pop, it was the extra yardage every play that did pop. Looking at the film from above, he looked great in every one of his reps, showcasing speed to the outside, still elite leg drive to push the pile, and is still never afraid of contact.

This is vastly different from what you'll hear from others because they saw one little video of Skattebo warming up where he didn't have a great route as a receiver. The Giants other options are Tyrone Tracy Jr and Devin Singletary, but neither have the chemistry with quarterback Jaxson Dart, and quite frankly neither create the yards after contact that Skat does.
