Giants Hired John Harbaugh With Jaxson Dart in Mind

This past offseason, the Giants went out and hired the best available coach on the market, inking former Baltimore Ravens head coach John Harbaugh to a five-year, $200 million deal that made him among the highest-paid coaches in the NFL at $20 million per season.

One of the reasons the Giants hired Harbaugh, specifically, was because the team felt he was the perfect coach to work with Dart, who is a dual-threat QB much in the same vein as Ravens QB Lamar Jackson, in that he can both run the ball and throw it.

In Week 1, the Giants pulled off an upset over the Dallas Cowboys, and we saw firsthand just how good the Dart/Harbaugh connection could be if they were hitting on all cylinders.

But now that Dart is potentially out for the rest of the season, the Giants are in huge trouble because Winston doesn’t have the same young, fresh legs that Dart possesses, and he doesn’t have his arm, either.

Winston is experienced, and he has been with the Giants for a few years now, so he knows the system well and can handle playing in the mega media market that is New York.

But he is not Dart; he’s not even close, and the Giants are in huge trouble without him.
