In a quarterback group that has more questions than answers, Jalen Milroe may be the most intriguing as we head towards the 2025 NFL Draft. Currently participating during Senior Bowl practices in Texas, Todd McShay’s recent analysis of Milroe’s performance this week was far from positive.

“He’s got a lot of tools to work with,” McShay said during his podcast. “He’s got a big arm. He’s got a unique blend of speed and power as a runner. And I know you can sense a “but” coming and there is.”

There is no question that Milroe is an elite athlete at the position, but many other parts of his game have raised concerns. McShay addressed some of these from what he had seen in Texas.

“He’s not accurate short to intermediate,” McShay said. “He’s missing and he’s missing by sizable amounts and it’s concerning. I just feel like it’s going fast for him. And a lot of quarterbacks come here and it’s happening fast, and I think he’s getting frustrated at times.”

No matter what his current limitations are, his potential will continue to keep him on the list of possible first round draft picks. Polarizing players draw attention, so be prepared to hear and read plenty about Milroe leading up to April’s draft.
