Tom Brady addressed rampant speculation regarding his future in Fox's broadcasting booth.

The legendary quarterback is wrapping up the first season of a 10-year  contract with Fox. Brady will work Sunday's NFC Championship Game between the Philadelphia Eagles and Washington Commanders on Sunday before calling the Super Bowl on Feb. 9.

Brady's status as a minority owner of the Las Vegas Raiders has led many to criticize a conflict of interest and wonder if the 47-year-old will leave the booth. That conversation reignited when he worked last Saturday's Detroit Lions game amid reports linking offensive coordinator Ben Johnson to the Raiders' head coaching vacancy.

On Wednesday's The Herd, Brady joked about the rumors with Colin Cowherd. His Fox colleague facetiously said it "breaks my heart" that they only got to work together for one year.

"It's hard for me, too. I thought it was a great run," Brady said sarcastically. "One solid year. You know, there's time for new things, and I figured this has been totally mastered at this point."

Brady delivered his more sincere view of the situation, expressing confusion on how stories about him leaving spread.

"I don't know where it comes from," Brady said. "I know it always says, 'Sources close to Brady' or whatever. But I've had the best time at Fox, and I've loved every time going in the booth and working with such great people."

After 23 years as a player, Brady has enjoyed experiencing NFL games from a new perspective.

"I've loved just the whole process and diving into different teams," he said. "It's been a lot of growth for me in one year, and I really can't wait to see what it looks like in Year 2 and way beyond that."

Outsiders thought Brady might conclude his contract considerably early, but the seven-time Super Bowl champion plans to stay with Fox for the long haul.

"I got nine years left on my deal," Brady said. "Maybe longer. You never know. If Fox wants me, then I want to go. We'll just keep going because it's been really fun thus far."
