Tom Brady has been among the most talked-about football talkers this season after embarking on his NFL broadcasting career with Fox.

The seven-time Super Bowl champion quarterback agreed to a record-setting 10-year, $375 million contract with the network in 2022 and made his debut alongside Kevin Burkhardt back in September.

In recent months, Brady has also joined the Las Vegas Raiders ownership group via a 10% minority stake with businessman Tom Wagner, prompting the "Brady Rules," which put restrictions on his ability to prepare for his high-profile Fox gig.

Entering the New Year, senior sports media writer Richard Deitsch of The Athletic put together his "2025 Sports Media Predictions" and Brady was prominently featured. The industry veteran boldly predicted the 47-year-old retired NFL star would walk away from the upwards of $300 million remaining on his Fox contract in the months ahead.

"I’ve previously said I’d put down big money that Brady will not finish his 10-year, $375 million contract with Fox, given all his various business interests away from broadcasting, including ownership. That remains true," Deitsch wrote.

He continued, "The safer prediction would be that Brady walks away from his Fox deal after three or four years. But I’m going bold and saying Brady gets deeper involved with the Las Vegas Raiders in the offseason and decides to go all in with NFL ownership and his production company by the start of the next NFL season."

Raiders owner Mark Davis acknowledged at the December league meetings that Brady will have a "huge voice" in the organization's future. And while he revealed a promise made to Fox executives, he did leave the door open for Brady's role to grow.

"When Tom was hired, I promised to Fox that we would not get in the way of Tom's job and that he's going to be one of the best announcers in the game. Anything he does with the Raiders will be in the future, as far as that goes," Davis told reporters

"Obviously, I talk to him all of the time and his input is greatly valued and will always be valued. We'll see as time goes on how his role evolves in here. But he's very excited about it. But again, we're respecting his obligations to Fox."
