Tom Brady had an opportunity to join his FOX colleagues in studio on Sunday, and he made sure to take advantage by trolling his former teammate Rob Gronkowski.
Brady joined the “FOX NFL Sunday” pregame show since he was in Los Angeles (where the FOX studio is located) to call the Week 5 game between the Chargers and Washington Commanders. The seven-time Super Bowl champion was asked for some of his thoughts on the New England Patriots.
Brady spoke about Drake Maye’s development under Patriots offensive coordinator Josh McDaniels, who worked with Brady for several years. Gronkowski was sitting to Brady’s immediate left, and Brady kept a straight face while firing a shot at Gronk.
“Right now, Drake Maye’s playing with the greatest tight end in the history of the New England Patriots, Hunter Henry. This guy’s electric,” Brady said.

Henry certainly has a strong connection with Maye. The tight end entered Week 5 with 15 catches for 204 yards and 3 touchdowns. Henry is arguably Maye’s favorite target.
What Henry is not, however, is Rob Gronkowski. Gronk and everyone else knows this, which is why Brady’s delivery was so entertaining.
