The Kansas City Chiefs have officially wrapped up the 2025 NFL draft.
After beginning the draft with eight picks, the team moved around and still managed to select seven players, but the festivities aren’t quite over yet. The team will continue to add undrafted free agents to fill out their 90-man offseason roster, which now stands at 81 players.
The team needs to add at least nine more players. They could also release some reserve/future contract players to make room for more undrafted players. They’ll also invite several players to come to Kansas City on a tryout basis for their rookie minicamp, which will occur the first or second weekend following the draft.
The Chiefs have found some gems in undrafted free agency in the past. A few of those players remain on the roster, such as RB Carson Steele, LB Jack Cochrane, OG Mike Caliendo, LB Cam Jones, DT Fabien Lovett, OT Ethan Driskell, and DB Chris Roland-Wallace. The Chiefs have plenty of cap space available, so if they want a player a lot, they can offer a large signing bonus and guaranteed money. You want to look out for the signing bonus, as it typically signifies they liked a player and had to compete to sign him.
An important thing to keep in mind is that rookie minicamp invites are often misreported as signings. We'll do our best to differentiate between the two. The Chiefs will ultimately announce the official UDFA signings ahead of rookie minicamp, but we’ll track all of Kansas City’s reported signings and minicamp invites and list them below.
