Travis Kelce Makes Decision About Being Taylor Swift’s Plus-1 for the Grammy’s

With the Kansas City Chiefs having an extra week to prepare for their Super Bowl LIX opponent, the Philadelphia Eagles, many wondered if star tight end Travis Kelce would accompany his girlfriend, pop star Taylor Swift, to the Grammy’s on Sunday night.

Kelce was in a similar situation last year with the Chiefs playing the San Francisco 49ers in Super Bowl 58 at Allegiant Stadium in Las Vegas, but he chose to sit out the event to spend the week prior to the big game prepping with his team.

It seems Kelce has made the same decision this year, as TMZ Sports reported Friday afternoon that Swift will once again be without her plus-one for the 67th annual Grammy Awards, where it’s been announced she will be a presenter.

“Looks like Taylor Swift will be rolling stag to this weekend's Grammys...TMZ Sports has learned her boyfriend, Travis Kelce, isn't making it out to Hollywood for the big event,” TMZ stated. “The Kansas City Chiefs star instead, sources familiar with the situation tell us, will be sticking with his team ... as it continues its preparations for its Super Bowl matchup with the Philadelphia Eagles in New Orleans.”

TMZ’s report confirms an earlier report from Entertainment Tonight, which stated a source confirmed to the program that Kelce was staying in Vegas and skipping the Grammy’s as well.

Though Kelce will be absent on a big night for Swift, who is up for several awards including Album of the Year, Pop Album of the Year, Record of the Year, Song of the Year, Best Music Video and Best Pop Duo/Group Performance, the “Blank Space” singer is expected to be at the Super Bowl in New Orleans the following week to support him.

The U.S. Sun reported on Thursday that Swift will have a group of A-list celebrities with her in her Super Bowl suite including Blake Lively and husband Ryan Reynolds, Selena Gomez, Benny Blanco, Sabrina Carpenter and Ice Spice.
