Travis Kelce and the Kansas City Chiefs had an NFL season to forget in 2025, finishing with a 6-11 record and missing out on the playoffs for the first time since 2014.
Kelce, in his 13th season, still performed well, earning his 11th Pro Bowl nod after recording 76 catches for 851 yards and five touchdowns.
Over the past three seasons, Kelce has been in a relationship with musical icon Taylor Swift, getting engaged ahead of the 2025 NFL season.
The Grammy Award winner has remained active in the music world during her relationship with the Chiefs tight end, finishing her "Eras Tour" and releasing her 12th studio album, "The Life of a Showgirl," which features the hit single "Opalite."
"Opalite" has already become one of Swift's top hits from her 2025 album, peaking at No. 2 on the Billboard Hot 100. But Kelce and Swift wanted to boost the song's popularity even more, reaching out to DJ Chris Lake about a potential "Opalite" remix. And Lake delivered, releasing the remix over the weekend.
Sure enough, on Monday, Lake took to Instagram to reveal that the "Opalite" remix has already become the No. 1 overall song on iTunes. The Grammy-nominated DJ also released a behind-the-scenes video on YouTube showcasing the development of the remix.
"Woke up to a #1 overall on iTunes :) @taylorswift," Lake wrote on Instagram. "I’ve also just uploaded my studio session putting the official @taylorswift ‘Opalite’ remix together on my YouTube. Hit the link in my bio to watch it & to download the remix "
Both Kelce and Swift quickly took notice of Lake's announcement about the new song, leaving their thoughts in the comment section.
"Immediately to the top of the charts!! bout to tune into the studio session right now!" Kelce commented.
"These videos make me as happy as your remix does - so excited the fans are loving it too!! Appreciate you!!" Swift added.
While Kelce enjoys the new "Opalite" remix he helped bring to life, the tight end also has a big decision to make this NFL offseason: whether to retire after 13 seasons or return to the Chiefs for another shot at the Super Bowl.
