Miami Dolphins quarterback Tua Tagovailoa got a bit defensive on Sunday when asked about his turnovers following the team’s ugly loss on Sunday.

The Dolphins fell to the Indianapolis Colts 33-8 on Sunday at Lucas Oil Stadium in Indianapolis, In. Miami’s performance was ugly on both sides of the wall, with Tagovailoa and his two interceptions being singled out for underperforming.

After the game, Omar Kelly of the Miami Herald asked Tagovailoa if it was a concern that his turnovers come in bunches. That left Tagovalioa confused.

“I thought that was a wild comment. I turn the ball over in bunches? That’s crazy,” Tagovailoa said. “It just so happens that’s what happened today.”

Miami’s turnovers certainly came in bunches on Sunday. Their first drive ended with an interception, their second with a fumble, and their fourth was another pick. By that point, the Dolphins trailed 20-0.

Tagovailoa went just 14/23 for 114 yards with a touchdown to go with his two interceptions. After a performance like that, it probably isn’t the best idea for him to fixate on a pretty tame question.

The Dolphins host the New England Patriots next Sunday. If they don’t start to turn things around, things might start to get as ugly as some were predicting after their Week 1 showing.
