The Seahawks hosted free agent OLB Kyle Kennard for a workout this week, while the Panthers also hosted him for a visit, per the NFL Transactions wire.
Kennard, 24, is a former fourth-round pick by the Chargers in the 2025 NFL Draft out of South Carolina. He won the Bronko Nagurski Trophy in 2024, along with Consensus All-American, SEC Defensive Player of the Year, and First-team All-SEC honors.
He was waived with an injury designation by Los Angeles coming out of this year’s preseason and was later cut with an injury settlement.
In 2025, Kennard appeared in five games for the Chargers and recorded two tackles.
