Tyreek Hill’s NFL comeback gets update from agent

Veteran wide receiver Tyreek Hill’s return to the NFL will not happen in Week 1 of the 2026 season, with his agent Drew Rosenhaus revealing that doctors have recommended the 32-year-old to wait until at least October before attempting a comeback.

Hill remains a free agent after the Miami Dolphins moved on from him following the 2025 season. His 2025 campaign ended after only four games when he dislocated his left knee and tore his ACL in the same knee. The injury occurred in a late-September game and was considered career-threatening at the time.

Speaking on The Pat McAfee show on Wednesday, Rosenhaus said teams have already shown plenty of interest in Hill, but the priority remains completing his recovery rather than rushing him onto the field.

“He is doing well,” stated Rosenhaus. “His doctors have recommended, though, that he postpone his comeback until perhaps sometime in October.” We’re playing it on the safe side. . . . We’re not in a rush, we really just want him to be completely healthy. There’s a ton of interest, as you can imagine, in Tyreek, but we want to make sure that he’s 100 percent good to go. That may be a month from now, a couple weeks from now — we’re not in a hurry.”
