The New York Jets took another step toward the 2026 season on Monday as their voluntary offseason program officially got underway in Florham Park. According to the team’s official report, Phase One is now underway with players limited to meetings, strength and conditioning work, and physical rehab.
It may not feel like football season just yet, but this is one of those important dates on the NFL calendar. The Jets are continuing to build under Aaron Glenn, and even this early part of the offseason gives players a chance to get back in the building, hear the messaging from the coaching staff, and begin laying the groundwork for what comes next. With so many new assistant coaches, this will be pivotal for Aaron Glenn’s success. Will the work in the offseason translate to wins on the field? His job depends upon it.
For Jets fans, it is another reminder that the draft is right around the corner and the full offseason program is about to pick up. The on-field work will come later, but the calendar is now moving in a meaningful way.
The Jets are still in the early stages here, but the voluntary offseason program is officially underway and the road to training camp has started.
