The Dallas Cowboys are currently gearing up for the upcoming 2026 NFL season, which is slated to get underway in just over two months. The Cowboys are looking to bounce back after two straight years of missing the playoffs, and have made some big additions this offseason, especially on defense, where they were among the worst units in the NFL last year.

One big name still yet to be signed on the free agent market is future Hall of Famer Von Miller, and recently, the veteran publicly campaigned to be signed by Dallas by posting an edit of himself in a photoshopped Cowboys uniform on his Instagram story, per DFW SPORTS HOT TAKES on X, formerly Twitter, via RJ Ochoa of Blogging The Boys.

While Miller is no longer the same player he was during his prime years with the Denver Broncos, he is still a productive force at the linebacker position, having most recently played with the NFC East rival Washington Commanders last year. It’s a bit surprising that Miller is still unsigned this season, but that could change if Jerry Jones and company take notice of this latest social media post from the star.

The Cowboys are certainly hoping that their defense is able to take a major step forward next year after a brutal effort in 2025, keeping Dallas out of the playoffs despite the best season of quarterback Dak Prescott’s career. The Cowboys have already invested in that department, drafting Caleb Downs in the fisrt round this past April, but it remains to be seen if that will be enough to get Dallas back in the playoff race in the NFC.
