Waived Minnesota Vikings Defender Lands on Practice Squad

After a week off, Minnesota Vikings news updates are pouring in again on Monday. Earlier today, the Vikings opened the 21-day practice window for veteran guard Dalton Risner, who could return at some point over the next three weeks. They also made another minor transaction that likely won’t have a major impact on gamedays or even in Week 7 against the Lions. According to the team’s official X social media account, the Minnesota Vikings have signed former XFL defensive lineman Jalen Redmond back to the practice squad. Redmond was cut loose last week during the bye, which was viewed as a precursor to a bigger roster move, although we didn’t know what it was at the time. Perhaps that move will come later this week in the form of activating T.J. Hockenson to the active roster.
