Watch: Ravens' mascot carted off after suffering leg injury during youth halftime game

The football field can be a dangerous place, even for mascots.

During halftime of the Baltimore Ravens vs. Washington Commanders preseason game, Ravens' mascot "Poe" suffered what appears to be a significant leg injury.

Poe sustained the injury after being tackled during an exhibition game between mascots and an AAU youth team from Baltimore. Poe reportedly laid on the ground for more than five minutes as many were unsure if the mascot was injured. After being examined by trainers, he was taken off the field by a cart.

Former edge rusher Chris Long chastised Poe's teammates for their lack of support, saying the mascot deserved a bigger send-off.

Poe made a miraculous return before the second half. However, curiously enough, he showed no sign of injury.
