The Los Angeles Rams extended their winning streak to five games after defeating the Seattle Seahawks, 21-19, in Week 11. It was a huge victory as the Rams now have sole possession of first place in the NFC West at 8-2.

Sunday’s matchup between the Rams and Seahawks had the feeling of a playoff game, and head coach Sean McVay was understandably fired up after the win.

The Rams defense showed out as they intercepted Sam Darnold four times, and McVay made sure to recognize Cobie Durant, Kamren Kinchens and Darious Williams for their efforts. Kinchens had two interceptions on the day.

Davante Adams also caught his 1,000th career pass — a one-yard touchdown in the first quarter that put the Rams up by double digits — and McVay gave him his flowers as well in a postgame speech that was more passionate than usual for the head coach:

The Rams collectively celebrated Ethan Evans as well as he pinned the Seahawks back inside the one-yard line with a 50-yard punt before their final offensive drive of the game.

It was a huge moment as Darnold ended up moving the Seahawks past midfield, where kicker Jason Myers missed what would have been a game-winning 61-yard field goal attempt.

The Rams’ contributions in all three phases helped them earn their biggest win of the season, and they will now look to keep it going when they welcome the first-place Tampa Bay Buccaneers to SoFi Stadium next week for Sunday Night Football.

Rams’ Puka Nacua discusses playing against Cooper Kupp for first time

The Seahawks visiting the Rams on Sunday meant that Cooper Kupp would be facing his former teammates for the first time. The veteran wide receiver had a relatively quiet day as he caught three of his seven targets for 23 yards, but he still received a nice ovation in his return to SoFi Stadium.

Puka Nacua admitted earlier in the week that it was going to be weird facing off with Kupp on the opposite sideline.

“A foreign feeling for sure,” Nacua said Thursday. “I know I’m excited to see him. We’ve exchanged some texts. You have some games that you remember the dates and this has been one that I’m excited for. It’s the next one for us. It’s a big one and it’s the one we’re preparing for, but I’ll be excited to see ‘number 10’ for sure.”
