The weather looks good for Super Bowl LX. The New England Patriots will play the Seattle Seahawks in Santa Clara with calm and pleasant conditions expected. Experts do not see any weather problems for players, coaches, or fans.

Levi’s Stadium will host the game on Sunday. Kickoff is at 6:30 p.m. ET, which is 3:30 p.m. local time. Most forecasts say the weather will be clear and comfortable. The game should avoid the rain and cold that sometimes happen in February.

The temperature will likely stay in the mid-60s when the game starts. It should be between 62 and 67 degrees in the afternoon. As the game continues, the temperature may drop into the low-50s by the fourth quarter.

There might be some clouds in the sky, but they should not cause issues. There is a small chance of a quick shower, but steady rain is not expected. Overall, rain chances for the weekend are around 20 to 30 percent, but the game itself should stay dry.

The wind should also stay light. Forecasts say it will blow from the northwest at about 5 to 10 mph. This type of wind usually does not affect gameplay, though it might slightly impact long kicks or punts.

Meteorologist Ryan Maue shared an upbeat view on social media. “Perfect weather in Santa Clara this afternoon for Super Bowl LX with temperatures in the 60s. Dry, little wind, clear skies,” Maue wrote. “As the Patriots take a small lead into the 4th Quarter, temperatures will dip into the upper-50s.”

The sun will set in Santa Clara at 5:40 p.m. local time. The game will start in daylight and finish under stadium lights. It may feel cooler later, but it should not affect the game.

Calm Conditions Shape Super Bowl Game Plans

The weather gives both teams equal and comfortable conditions. New England played many late-season games in cold and snowy weather. This game will feel much warmer for them. Patriots reporters say the team has not played in weather this comfortable since early November.

The Seahawks usually play in wet and windy conditions at home. Santa Clara removes those challenges. The Seahawks will play on a dry field with steady air. This should help quarterbacks and receivers perform better.

Both teams can use their full game plans. Light wind and steady temperatures lower the risk of mistakes. The weather is not expected to decide the winner. The result will depend on how well the teams play.

Only a few small factors could matter. The ball may feel colder later in the game, which could make very long kicks slightly harder. Even then, the conditions still favor offense and special teams.

The NFL wanted perfect conditions for its biggest game. The forecast provides that. Fans should see the champion decided by football, not the weather.
