The injury bug took a massive chomp out of the wide receiver player pool lately, and it's not immediately looking much better heading into Week 6. The primary names of concern: Calvin Austin, Darius Slayton, Darnell Mooney, CeeDee Lamb, Mike Evans, Jauan Jennings, Ricky Pearsall, and Terry McLaurin.
Furthermore, gamers will be without Justin Jefferson, Jordan Addison, and Nico Collins as Minnesota and Houston are on bye. The position as a whole is in a rough spot slightly more than a month into the season, and that will require fantasy managers to play some typically unsavory options.
On a positive note, Cleveland trading quarterback Joe Flacco to the Cincinnati Bengals should immediately reinforce the floors of Ja'Marr Chase and Tee Higgins, who current rank WR9 and WR47, respectively, in PPR scoring formats. Bye weeks robbed gamers of multiple useful plays in Week 5, and at least we get those guys back to bolster our lineups!
