What Are the Giants’ Top Offseason Wide Receiver Options?
Ohio State Buckeyes wide receiver Carnell Tate (17) runs in a touchdown against the Michigan Wolverines in the second half of the NCAA football game at Michigan Stadium on Saturday, Nov. 29, 2025 in Ann Arbor, Michigan.

The New York Giants’ 2025 season provided crucial information about roster flaws, and wide receiver was a glaring issue throughout the year.

Malik Nabers‘ injury helped reveal the clear issue at receiver, and it is only becoming worse— 2025 yards leader Wan’Dale Robinson is hitting the open market.

With the fifth overall pick and some open salary, there are plenty of options to try and rebuild the receiving room.

Free Agency Possibilities

Wan’Dale Robinson

Bringing back Robinson will clearly be a top option for New York. He had a career-best season in 2025, recording over 1,000 yards and a second consecutive season of over 90 catches. Robinson has always been a safety blanket for the Giants, but there is doubt about his return, given that his market value is north of $17 million annually.

The potential price tag of a player whose height and length put a hard ceiling on his capabilities will make it hard to justify paying premium receiver money — especially when Malik Nabers, their true top option, is soon to be paid.

Alec Pierce

Though Pierce will likely be more expensive than Robinson, he also provides a lot more. He is a top deep threat, averaging 21.3 yards per reception while getting over 1,000 yards.

Pierce’s contested catch artistry is elite, and with Jaxson Dart consistently being let down on jump balls last season, a Pierce addition could do wonders.

This would be a massive addition to New York, but his price tag may be too high for the Giants’ serious consideration.

Calvin Austin

At a market value of around $5 million, Austin would be a phenomenal budget pick-up.

His blazing speed will always make him a viable deep threat, but Austin’s stop-and-go ability would be a must for New York.

He would be an affordable replacement for Robinson, having a similar build and skill set. But with Austin’s greater size, some of Robinson’s setbacks disappear. Though the production may not be replicated, Austin would provide a much-needed slot presence.

Can’t-Miss Prospects

The top of the 2026 draft holds three supremely talented receivers: Carnell Tate, Makai Lemon, and Jordyn Tyson.

Carnell Tate

Tate would enter the league as a premier downfield player. At 6-foot-2, he has an incredible combination of smooth route running and concentration. Per PFF, Tate caught 12 of his 14 contested targets, a perfect example of his excellent strength and hands. His array of double moves and ways to get open over the middle cannot be overstated.

The selection of Tate wouldn’t leave any Giants fans second-guessing Joe Schoen.

Makai Lemon

Lemon’s awareness and feel make his average size seem insignificant. He is capable of dissecting any coverage, finding soft spots all over the field. His IQ also makes him invaluable during scramble drills, as he always runs to where the quarterback needs him and is constantly aware of the situation.

Along with his mental traits, he is also superior at the catch point. He caught 10 of his 15 contested targets in 2025. His quick head turn to the ball leaves the defensive back at a disadvantage, and Lemon is in perfect position for the catch.

Due to the amount that he plays in the slot, he would be a superb fit to fill the currently vacant slot position.

Jordyn Tyson

Tyson’s hamstring history leaves some worry, but his talent is clear. He is one of the best athletes in the draft with his explosiveness after the catch and high-flying acrobatics.

When on the field, Tyson is unstoppable, having a large variety of routes, a massive catch radius, and blurring speed after the catch.

If the hamstring holds up, there’s no telling what Tyson can accomplish.

With all three of these receivers in a tightly contested race for the best, choosing any of them will do wonders for Jaxson Dart and the offense.

Day 2 or 3 Availability

Without their third-round pick and a clear talent drop-off, the Giants will need to make a tough decision on where they would want to take a receiver.

Round 2

One possibility at the 37th pick is National Champion Omar Cooper Jr. Cooper is a relatively prototypical slot receiver. He has concise route running, solid hands, and legitimate run-after-catch ability.

Cooper addresses the biggest need in the receiving room, and it’s easy to imagine he makes an immediate, important impact on the G-Men.

Louisville receiver Chris Bell is another option. Before his torn ACL, Bell was much higher on people’s draft boards, and for good reason. Bell has an amazing release off the line to pair with breakaway speed and a big frame.

There’s more than enough talent to give Bell a shot, and his high-end outcome would be well worth the selection.

Round 4

At this point in the draft, getting a starter would be a win.

There are a couple of options, though, one being De’Zhaun Stribling.

The Ole Miss wideout has clear drawbacks, the main one being his limited route tree. In his finite routes, he is fairly effective, putting up over 800 yards on the season. Stribling’s most intriguing aspect is his run after catch. He averages 7.8 yards after the catch, playing with solid strength and explosiveness.

But the other, more unique option this late is Tennessee receiver Chris Brazzell II. Brazzell, at 6-foot-4, ran a 4.37 40-yard dash, and it was shown in games.

He’s a burner downfield, averaging 16.5 yards per reception. Brazzell has great concentration deep, consistently adjusting for underthrows or contact. With his size, speed, and manageable route running, taking a shot on him would, at the minimum, be interesting.

This early in the offseason, it’s still unpredictable as to what the New York Giants will do at wide receiver, but there are certainly plenty of ways to add more talent to the position.
