Kansas City Chiefs quarterback Patrick Mahomes and his wife, Brittany Mahomes, lost a lot of their personal stuff following a home burglary last month.
The Mahomes family's Missouri home was reportedly broken into on Oct. 6, an incident that has really scared Brittany Mahomes and raised her concerns about their security in what she considers a "safe haven."
Initial reports of the break-in didn't mention what was stolen from the Mahomeses. However, new updates have shed more light on what the thieves took from them in the rather shocking turn of events.
According to a source close to The U.S. Sun, Brittany Mahomes lost her jewelry and designer bags in the incident. Unfortunately, there is no information on the worth of the items that were taken.
As for Patrick Mahomes, some of her jerseys were also swiped, along with medals, trophies and other awards. It's unknown, however, if any of his Super Bowl items were snatched.
It is also worth noting that the thieves were able to enter Patrick Mahomes' man cave and took some items from it, although it was not specified what were taken.
The Chiefs star himself has already addressed the burglary, telling reporters on Wednesday that he's disappointed and frustrated over what happened, although he refused to give specific details since an investigation is ongoing.
As fans may know, it's not only Patrick Mahomes' home that was burglarized. Less than 48 hours after his house was targeted by thieves, Travis Kelce's Leawood home was also robbed.
Apparently, Kelce lost $20,000 in cash, along with $100,000 worth of jewelry, as well ass the Chiefs TE's first Super Bowl jersey.
Naturally, Kelce was "upset" that such an important item was stolen from him.
The Cass County Sheriff's Office is looking into the Mahomes incident, while the Leawood Police Department is investigating the Kelce issue. The FBI is reportedly assisting in the investigation.
