What is Commanders' Biggest 'Red Flag' In 2025?

The Washington Commanders' offseason has seen a host of quality players join the team, with Deebo Samuel, Laremy Tunsil, and Javon Kinlaw among the main additions.

All will help Dan Quinn's team as they look to replicate what was a superb 2024 season, but some are skeptical over what the trio can actually contribute.

Why? Poor form and health are the primary reasons.

And for CBS Sports, that is the biggest red flag over its offseason additions.

"The Commanders are one of the NFL's most popular contenders thanks to Jayden Daniels' magical 2024 debut," CBS Sports writes. "And general manager Adam Peters understandably wasted no time upgrading Daniels' supporting cast by swinging trades for Deebo Samuel and Laremy Tunsil this offseason. The only issue is both Samuel and Tunsil, who will play vital roles in aiding and protecting Daniels, have missed extensive time due to injury in the last few years. Veteran defensive addition Javon Kinlaw falls in the same boat. Conditioning could be key in D.C."

If and that's a big if, the Commanders can keep that trio out of the treatment room and on the field, then they will no doubt improve the roster.

But as we know, the NFL is an unforgiving beast, so Quinn and the coaching staff will likely keep a close eye on the trio as training camp begins next month.

Samuel and Tunsil are keys to the offense elevating in 2025, while Kinlaw could add some bite to the defensive line for Joe Whitt Jr., but only if they are healthy.

The best ability is availability, and the Commanders' 2025 Super Bowl hopes might rest on that trio staying healthy for the entire year.
