It appears that Washington Commanders running back Brian Robinson Jr. is trending in the right direction to take the field against the Philadelphia Eagles to open Week 11.
Having missed Washington's last two games with a hamstring injury, Robinson Jr. is firming up to take his place against the Eagles, having completed the ramp-up phase of practice this week.
While there is still some water to go under the bridge, all signs are pointing to Brian playing his first game since the Week 8 clash against the Chicago Bears.
“Today was the day to get speed, and so that was a good sign to see him and the rest of his teammates really get running, it was a kind of a ramp-up,” head coach Dan Quinn said. “As you go, think of a slower on Monday, a little faster yesterday, but today's the day you hit the marks to go up, and so he did a good job with that.”
Quinn is happy with Robinson Jr.'s progress coming back from a hamstring injury. Since he's been out, the run game has suffered, with Washington only managing 60 rush yards against the Pittsburgh Steelers and 149 against the New York Giants.
Facing an Eagles team tonight that they will be fighting with for the division lead, the Commanders need all hands on deck to claim their eighth win of the year.
And Robinson Jr. thinks he has a chance to suit up for "Thursday Night Football.''
"I think I have a really great chance, it's not my decision obviously," he said.
The Commanders could get back a key piece of their offensive setup for a game that could have big ramifications not only for the division but for potential playoff seeding as well.
Having B-Rob back gives Washington a good chance of getting back on the winner's list and taking the lead in the division.
