You Have To See What Courtland Sutton Did After the Denver Broncos’ Win Over Tennessee

Now this is the kind of video that needs to go viral. While we spent the last few days watching an unhinged woman take away a baseball from a little kid in Miami, we introduce you to Courtland Sutton and his glove.

Sutton is a wide receiver for the Denver Broncos. He had a pretty good day. He had six catches for 61 yards. With 19 seconds left in the first half and Denver desperately searching for offensive life, Sutton hauled in a perfectly placed strike from Quarterback Bo Nix that sent Broncos Country into a frenzy. The touchdown grab not only gave Denver a 10-6 lead heading into the locker room, it provided the spark an anemic offense desperately needed. The Broncos went on to win the game, beating Tennessee 20-12.

This Story Is About Sutton, His Glove, and Making a Golden Memory For a Little Girl

Football is a job. Like you and me, Sutton gets up in the morning and goes to work. Some days are bigger than others. Opening day in Denver is a pretty big day. Unlike you and me, Sutton stands a much better chance of completely changing the mood of many. A lot of times, the mood is joy, celebration, or sometimes heartbreak. Most of the time, it is on the field, based on his performance. This time, the mood was changed, but off the field.

Here is the scene: It is the end of the game, there is a cute little blond girl, maybe 8 years old,  holding a sign that reads “My 1st Game” with a Broncos logo. This is where Sutton and the white glove come in. Sutton was walking from the field to the tunnel. He gives a few waves, a few high fives. He then takes one of his white gloves, which he used during the game to catch his six passes, and hands it to an older lady. Like any grown adult would do, that lady gives the glove to the little blond girl holding the sign.

Yes, the act itself was nice. Don’t get me wrong, it was nothing crazy major, and nothing different than what many NFL players do after each game. Luckily, the lady who took the glove and gave it to the little girl was likely her mom, so there was no danger of another Phillies fan debacle.

Final Thoughts

This story is all about the reaction. You have to watch the clip to the end,  to see the emotion spill from this Broncos fan and now a Sutton for Life fan, which was what the game can be about, and makes the NFL a profession that truly can change the day, month, or year of a person.

As the X poster writes, the scene was pure gold, and it should be given to the media. Well, @dannyclarkevlog, we could not agree more. The pure gold was the girl’s reaction. She was over the moon. This is the kind of fandom that makes us all reach out for the tissues, or at the very least, adds to our appreciation of the good guys of the sport.
