Philadelphia Eagles running back Saquon Barkley is entering the 2025 NFL season ranked No. 1 on the league's Top 100 Players list.
This is a massive jump from his 2024 ranking when he landed at No. 86.
In the NFL's video highlighting Barkley, teammates and players around the league weighed in on just how special he really is, including Green Bay Packers safety Xavier McKinney.
"You know, he can do everything," McKinney said. "Give it to him on the outside. You can give it to him on the inside. He's going to make something happen. You need all 11 to be able to tackle him. And if you give him a slight bit of opportunity, space, room, he's going to take advantage of it."

Barkley finished the 2024 season, racking up 2,005 rushing yards on 345 carries with 13 touchdowns. He also chipped in 33 catches for 278 yards and two more scores. His all-around dominance helped lead the Eagles to a Super Bowl LIX appearance and earned him Offensive Player of the Year honors along with a massive contract extension.
Here's what NFL.com had to say about Barkley coming in on top:
"Following a tremendous debut season with the Eagles, one that enrolled him in the 2,000-yard rushing club, earned him the AP 2024 Offensive Player of the Year and ended in Super Bowl glory, Barkley jumps 85 spots to become the No.1-ranked player in the Top 100. He's just the second running back to hold the title in the Top 100's 15-year history (Adrian Peterson, 2013). Barkley's run toward 2K featured 100-plus yard performances in 11 of 16 games (five games over 150 yards), a league-high seven 40-plus yard scampers and perhaps one of the best highlights when reverse leap-frogging over a defender -- a moment that will be forever immortalized on the cover of NFL Madden 26. Had he not sat out Week 18, there was a good chance he'd break Eric Dickerson's single-season rushing record. Barkley's vision, elusiveness and speed was a skill set that flourished behind the Eagles' offensive line, which created 829 yards for Barkley to gain before contact. The 28-year-old continued that dominance during Philadelphia's playoff run with 119-, 205- and 118-yard performances on the road toward Super Bowl LIX. The Eagles' signing of Barkley might go down as one of the best free-agent decisions in NFL history, and the club wasted no time in making the All-Pro the first RB to earn $20 million-plus per year after one season."
Barkley joins nine of his Eagles teammates on the NFL's Top 100 Players of 2025 list, including Josh Sweat (No. 95), Jordan Mailata (No. 69), Cooper DeJean (No. 60), Quinyon Mitchell (No. 49), Jalen Carter (No. 43), A.J. Brown (No. 29), Zack Baun (No. 26), Lane Johnson (No. 23), and Jalen Hurts (No. 19).
