A young Philadelphia Eagles fan went scorched earth on the team after Sunday’s NFC Wild Card loss to the San Francisco 49ers.
The Eagles fell 23-19 to the 49ers at Lincoln Financial Field on Sunday, ending their bid for a second consecutive Super Bowl. Fans were disappointed, but few were more frustrated than young Sam Salvo.
Salvo spoke to ABC 6 after the loss, and did not hold back on his assessment of the team. He had particularly strong thoughts about wide receiver AJ Brown and offensive coordinator Kevin Patullo.
“I’m feeling two of two things,” Salvo said. “A., I want AJ Brown packing his bags and I want him somewhere else that is not here. I love you AJ, but you can’t make those drops in that game. I also want Kevin Patullo flipping burgers at the local McDonald’s.
“Whenever he’s an offensive coordinator, it’s like he’s flipping burgers. One half he’s cooking, and the other half is completely raw.”
Rough night for Eagle fans

Brutal, but hard to argue with. The burn on Patullo is about as good as it gets.
Ironically, it cuts right to the heart of the Eagles’ issues on offense all year. At times, they look dominant, only to go into huge dry spells. That is essentially what happened on Sunday, as their offense went dormant for virtually the entire second half.
The good news for Salvo and his fellow Eagles fans is that he will probably get his wish regarding Patullo. Other changes are coming on offense as well.
