The St Louis Battlehawks will be losing an All-League player for the 2023 Season. Channing Stribling a former All-USFL player and veteran of Five football leagues is returning to the USFL after being drafted by the Battlehawks in November.
One day after NFL teams were required to trim their rosters to 80 players, the Washington Commanders made another move. The Commanders claimed guard Wes Martin off waivers and released cornerback Channing Stribling.
The Commanders announced on Wednesday that they have claimed G Wes Martin off waivers from the Jaguars and are also releasing CB Channing Stribling. Martin, 26, was initially a fourth-round draft pick by Washington in 2019.
The Washington Commanders added a pair of cornerbacks last week who played in the USFL this spring. Channing Stribling and DeJuan Neal each played in the spring showcase league and now hold spots on Washington’s 90-man roster.
