2025 NHL Draft Prospect Profile: Kurban Limatov

Kurban Limatov is an 18-year-old left-shot defenseman who has played the last two seasons with MHK Dynamo Moskva in the MHL in Russia. The Moskva native had a breakout season offensively with eight goals and 15 assists in 46 games and scored two goals in the postseason. The 6-foot-4, 90-pound blueliner is planning to play in Moskva again next season.

Kurban Limatov is a big defenseman who plays an aggressive style in the defensive zone. His offensive game is coming along, but his value is in his shutdown defensive capability. He is very strong for his age and is able to fend off opponents to make plays out of the offensive zone.
