This afternoon, it was announced that forward Alexandre Doucet was signing to play with Assat in Liiga. Doucet appeared in 52 games for the Grand Rapids Griffins last season, recording 14 points on eight goals and six assists. He was a plus-ten with a game-winning goal. In six playoff games, he was held pointless and finished as a minus-one. He also appeared in three games for Toledo in the ECHL, recording four assists and was even in plus/minus.

Doucet appeared in six seasons in the QMJHL, playing with the Val-d’Or Foreurs and the Halifax Mooseheads. He played in 240 games, recording 247 points on 108 goals and 139 assists; he was a +51. He also appeared in 40 playoff games, recording 42 points on 18 goals and 24 assists; he was a +18.
Doucet then joined Toledo and Grand Rapids. Doucet would go on to appear in 55 total games with the Walleye, recording 45 points on 19 goals and 26 assists. He was a +19 with three power-play goals and four game-winning goals. In 14 Kelly Cup Playoff games, he had six points on a goal and five assists. He was even in plus/minus. Doucet appeared in 122 AHL games for Grand Rapids across three seasons. He had 35 points on 15 goals and 20 assists. He was a plus-seven with a power-play goal, two shorthanded goals, and two game-winning goals. In seven Calder Cup Playoff games, he recorded no points and a minus-one rating.
