The Chicago Wolves are back in the Calder Cup Playoffs despite their 3-2 overtime loss to the Milwaukee Admirals tonight, 3-2 in overtime. The Rockford IceHogs also lost 4-3 in a shootout, which allowed the Wolves to make the playoffs. They are the second team in the Central Division and the third Western Conference team to punch their ticket to the 2026 Calder Cup Playoffs. The Wolves lost in the first round of the playoffs last season. They dropped both games to the IceHogs. The Wolves last won the Calder Cup in 2022 when they beat the Springfield Thunderbirds. They won the Division that year and went 14-4 in the playoffs.

The Wolves are led by Justin Robidas, who leads the team in points with 57. Bradly Nadeau, the Hurricanes’ top prospect, leads the team in goals with 25 goals. Felix Unger Sorum is the team leader in assists with 43. Robidas leads the team in plus/minus with a +18. Robidas is tied for seventh in the league in points. Unger Sorum is tied for sixth in the league in assists.
Cayden Primeau and Amir Miftakhov have held their ground. Primeau has been the number one, going 18-9-6 with a 2.52 goals-against average, a .912 save percentage, and three shutouts. Miftakhov in 25 starts is 9-8-7 with a 3.47 goals-against average, an .882 save percentage, and a shutout. Primeau is 12th in the league in goals-against average, sixth in save percentage. and tied for fifth in the league in shutouts.
