AHL: Providence Bruins sign Cross Hanas

The Providence Bruins this morning signed forward Cross Hanas to an AHL deal for the 2026-27 season. Hanas appeared in 56 games for the Texas Stars. He had 38 points on 15 goals and 23 assists. He was a plus-six, had a power-play goal, and three game-winning goals. In five playoff games, he had two assists and was a plus-one.

The Detroit Red Wings drafted the 24-year-old forward 55th overall in the 2022 NHL Entry Draft. He spent three seasons with the Griffins where in 146 games he had 50 points on 26 goals and 24 assists. He was a -14 with a power-play goal a shorthanded goal and three game-winning goals. Hanas has played in a combined 202 games recording 88 points on 41 goals and 47 assists. He is a minus-eight with two power-play goals, a shorthanded goal, and six game-winning goals.

He spent four seasons before being drafted in the WHL with the Portland Winterhawks. In 196 games he had 161 points on 58 goals and 103 assists; he was a +56. He also spent one season in the USHL with the Lincoln Stars where in 27 games he had 16 points on three goals and 13 assists; he was a -11.
