AHL: Three Providence Bruins Named All-Stars

The 2026 AHL All-Star Classic will take place on February 11th at the BMO Center in Rockford, IL. The skills competition will be on February 10th. The Providence Bruins will be sending three players to join head coach Ryan Mougenel. Captain Patrick Brown has already been announced as the Eastern Conference captain for the game, and defenseman Frederic Brunet and goalie Michael DiPietro will join him.

Patrick Brown

The Providence captain has appeared in 34 games this season, recording 35 points on 13 goals and 22 assists. He’s a +21 with five power-play goals and a game-winning goal. He sits tied for sixth in the AHL in points and ranks fifth in plus/minus. This is Brown’s third season with Providence, where in 102 games he has 113 points on 41 goals and 72 assists. Frederic Brunet

He sits tied for fifth among defensemen in goals this season. This is his fourth season with Providence, where in 152 games he has 56 points on 13 goals and 43 assists. He’s a +35 with three power-play goals and two game-winning goals.

Michael DiPietro

DiPietro is 14-5-0 with a 1.83 goals-against average and a .935 save percentage. He leads the league in both of those. He’s in his fourth season with Providence, where he is 59-22-7 with a 2.15 goals-against average, a .926 save percentage, and eight shutouts.
