Andrew Cristall , the Washington Capitals’ second-round draft choice in the 2023 NHL Draft, has signed a three-year entry-level contract, the team announced Thursday.

His contract will have an average annual value of $810,000 at the NHL level, or $82,500 AAV in the AHL.

Cristall, 18, was chosen with the No. 40 overall selection. The Capitals, according to assistant general manager Brian MacLellan, had a first-round grade on the prospect.

With the WHL’s Kelowna Rockets last season, the winger record a team-high 95 points — 39 goals, 56 assists — in 54 games.
