Sacha Boisvert was one of three University of North Dakota forwards to enter the transfer portal on March 31. The decision to leave UND follows the hiring of head coach Dane Jackson, an assistant coach for UND for 19 years. Former head coach, Brad Berry, was fired after 10 years on the job. The transfer portal is open to players from March 30 to May 13, once the portal is closed, players can commit to schools.

Sacha Boisvert was named the NCHC Rookie of the Year following an impressive season where he scored 18 goals and 14 assists in 37 games. Boisvert led UND in goals and points (32) in his freshman season.

Boisvert was drafted 18th overall in 2024 as a sizeable center with a two-way game. With the NCAA hockey program continuing to improve and produce high-caliber NHL players, it will be very interesting to see where Boisvert decides to continue his college hockey career.
