Boston Bruins Sign Tanner Jeannot

The Boston Bruins, after acquiring forward Viktor Arvidsson this morning from the Edmonton Oilers, started free agency signing forward Tanner Jeannot. The Bruins signed Jeannot to a five-year deal with a $3.4 million AAV. Jeannot, in 67 games with the Los Angeles Kings this season, had 13 points on seven goals and six assists. He was even in plus/minus with 89 penalty minutes and 211 hits. The Bruins bring in a physical player who will play in the Bruins’ bottom six.

Tanner Jeannot

Jeannot started his career with the Nashville Predators, where he spent three seasons playing in 152 games, recording 62 points on 34 goals and 28 assists. He was a plus-seven with 217 penalty minutes and 584 hits. Jeannot spent the next two seasons with the Tampa Bay Lightning after Nashville traded him for a first-round draft pick, among four other draft picks. He played in 75 games with Tampa Bay, recording 18 points on eight goals and ten assists. He was a -16 with 97 penalty minutes and 288 hits. In 294 career games, Jeannot has 93 points on 49 goals and 44 assists. He is a career minus-nine with 403 penalty minutes and 1,083 hits. He finished seventh in the Calder Memorial Trophy voting in 2021-22.
