The pesky summer of Brad Marchand continues, as he continues to take jabs at the Oilers after his Stanley Cup win, doing so with yet another video.
Brad Marchand has brought the Stanley Cup party out of the rink and onto Instagram once more.
Following a series of sarcastic 'thank you' posts for a number of franchises that helped make up the Panthers' championship roster in the past, the Florida veteran was at it again, this time calling directly on the Edmonton Oilers.
In his newest video, Marchand sported a sticker copying the Oilers logo, but with a twist. Instead of 'Oilers,' it read 'Losers.'
The Panthers concluded their third straight trip to the Stanley Cup Final by taking their second straight title in landslide fashion, 5-1 against Edmonton in Game 6.
Marchand, who came to the team in a deadline-day trade from the Boston Bruins, didn't just celebrate on the ice, as he trolled virtually every team that had a hand in Florida's rise on social media.
'Thanks for the MVP,' Marchand posted in a jab at the Calgary Flames, referencing Conn Smythe winner Sam Bennett. In thanking the Carolina Hurricanes, he tagged defenseman Gustav Forsling - 'Mr. Waivers' - whom Florida claimed back in 2021.
In total, Marchand named 18 NHL, AHL, and even ECHL franchises. The shoutouts varied from teams that lost players to Florida through free agency to those who helped the Panthers out through trades.
For Marchand, this is his second career Cup; his first was with the Boston Bruins back in 2011. At 16 years in, he now has another ring and another bout of internet tomfoolery.
