Senators captain Brady Tkachuk was slammed by fans after he made comments about celebrating with his brother Matthew at the Elbo Room after the Panther's second Stanley Cup victory.
Matthew Tkachuk and the Florida Panthers are officially on the cusp of becoming the next dynasty in the NHL after making three straight Stanley Cup finals and winning back-to-back championships.
Matthew's brother Brady was there to celebrate with him after the game six victory just as he was last year.
It is certainly nice to see the two brothers being so supportive of each other.
However, many fans are chirping Brady for riding his brother's coat tails instead of focusing on his own team and his own quest to lift Lord Stanley.
Some fans even took this as an opportunity to encourage the younger Tkachuk brother to get out of Ottawa if he wants a chance to win himself.
That being said, the Senators captain doesn't really seem to care that much as he joined his brother and the rest of the Panthers at the famous Elbo Room bar in Florida for the second straight year.
During the celebrations yesterday, Matthew and his teammates even went so far as to chirp the Chicago Blackhawks for trading them Seth Jones.
While much has been said about Jones' on-ice abilities in recent years, he was stellar for the Panthers on their run to the cup, putting up a rating of +11 to lead all defenseman on the team and adding nine points in 23 games, matching his career-high for a playoff run.
Hopefully one day Brady will be able to win a cup for himself, but until then fans will continue to chirp him for being less successful than his brother.
