Calgary Flames unveil 2026-27 Hometown Remix jersey
USA TODAY Sports

After a long wait full of leaks, we finally have our first real look at the Calgary Flames 2026-27 Hometown Remix jersey. Right from the beginning we knew the jersey would be ‘Dome themed, and boy did the designers go full in on that idea.

Below is the reveal video shared by the Flames.

Long live the ‘Dome

As mentioned, they certainly didn’t hide what the theme is for this jersey. From the textured roof layout on the logo to the window shaped circles on the sleeves, and the famous ‘Dome swoop at the bottom of the jersey, this is very much a jersey centered around a building. Even the numbers are textured to resemble the shutters on the building.

While I don’t think these jerseys are a total miss (can you ever go wrong with gold and red?), the jersey itself seems a little too heavy handed. Subtle design touches typically lead to the best-looking jerseys, and there’s nothing subtle about this one.

The ‘Dome features seem almost too obvious, and too frequent throughout the jersey. Toned down subtle nods to the building and it’s legacy in Calgary could’ve led to a much better jersey.
