Carolina Hurricanes Goalie Goes After Small Business on Social Media, Demands 'Immediate' Closure

Pyotr Kochetkov was looking to have a quiet off-season, but now the Hurricanes goaltender has shockingly called out a small business on social media.

The Carolina Hurricanes have a team that's set up to compete for a long time in the Eastern Conference, and one of the biggest reasons for that is goaltender Pyotr Kochetkov, who is coming into his own in the NHL in recent years.

The 26-year old had another fantastic campaign in 2024/25, posting an .898 save percentage to go along with a 2.58 GAA in 47 games played, and with the injuries to Freddie Andersen, he solidified himself as the teams starter moving forward.

However, his off-season has taken a strange turn after a recent post on social media, with the Russian star brutally going after a small business on social media, calling for it to be closed after an encounter.

Tonight, July 29, in the city of Bodrum, while on my way after dinner, I stumbled upon a pastry shop whose very existence I consider a threat to public safety. I demand immediate measures for its closure and the imposition of fines for:

-causing sharp insulin spikes among visitors
-systematically sabotaging daily nutritional norms
-mass production of unwanted extra kilograms.

It's unclear exactly what happened with the attached photo of the facility not offering very much context to exactly what happened, with fans in the comments amused, perplexed and intrigued by what the Russian star is talking about.

Perhaps we will learn more about what has happened to Kochetkov as the summer moves on, but for now, fans will be left wondering exactly what happened with the 26-year old after the strange social media post that as of right now, hasn't gotten any major followup.
