The Chicago Blackhawks recalled Landon Slaggert from the Rockford IceHogs on Jan. 26. The Hawks roster now sits fat with 13 forwards, although Slaggert won't debut on Sunday's game against the Wild.

Slaggert scored 10 goals and 15 assists in 39 games, tied for second in points on the IceHogs. Last season, Slaggert played in 16 games with the Blackhawks and scored one goal and three assists.

The Blackhawks' prospects and young players are beginning to make their mark. Frank Nazar scored two points in his last game, as did Louis Crevier. Ethan Del Mastro made his season debut against Tampa Bay and Colton Dach scored his first NHL goal.

Although Hawks fans will have to wait for the three-game road trip to begin, Landon Slaggert brings more excitement about this team's future. Something Kyle Davidson will speak about on Monday
