Kenny Albert set a noteworthy milestone on Wednesday night.

The decorated broadcaster called a Florida Panthers victory over the Carolina Hurricanes in Game 5 of the Eastern Conference Finals. While the Panthers advanced to the Stanley Cup Final, Albert also notched a major accomplishment. He called his 1,4282nd nationally televised game, passing Marv Albert for second all-time.

Before the game, Kenny Albert's TNT crew surprised him with a tribute. They shared a recorded video from Marv Albert, who celebrated his son's achievement.

"Kenny, congratulations," Marv said. "You are the Cal Ripken of sports broadcasting history on the national level."

Eddie Olczyk marveled at his broadcasting partner's busy schedule and versatility.

"I don't know how you do it," Olczyk said. "You go from football on Sunday, and then you do the hockey. You do some Knicks basketball. You're doing table tennis and now pickleball. You're doing it all."

Olczyk then seriously asked Albert how he manages his numerous broadcasting assignments. The 57-year-old, who spent most of the segment attempting to deflect the spotlight from himself, credited his colleagues.

"Lot of great partners, great people around us in the production truck," Albert said. "Jigsaw puzzle of a schedule, very fortunate to work for the various networks that I do work for, in particular with you guys at TNT."

"Well, congratulations," Olczyk responded.

"Way to go, Kenny," Brian Boucher said. "You're the best."

Liam McHugh paid one last tribute to Albert, who then thanked his family before wondering when they would talk about the NHL game.

"You are tireless, but more than that, you're generous," McHugh said. "If I even tried to do what you do for a week, I'd be the most miserable person around. You are never, ever like that. You're the happiest person."

Kenny Albert continues to cover all four major U.S. men's team sports for multiple networks, so the play-by-play announcer could keep adding to his tally.
