Toronto Maple Leafs head coach Craig Berube took a very funny shot at goaltender Joseph Woll following his performance with Kygo last night.
Toronto Maple Leafs goalie Joseph Woll tried to show off his musical skills earlier this week, but his head coach thinks he should stick to his day job.
Woll was yanked up on stage by teammate Mitch Marner at a Kygo concert in Toronto on Thursday night. When the singer handed Woll the microphone, he took the opportunity to shine.
"It was something I could only watch once," Auston Matthews added.
Unfortunately, his singing voice didn't quite hit the right note with the rest of the Leafs team. Even if the NHL wasn't in the cards, Woll has another music talent to fall back on: the piano.
'Stick to playing the piano,' coach Craig Berube said about Woll's performance.
The goalie has showcased his piano skills many times, but his epic version of the theme from Hans Zimmer's 'Interstellar' might take the cake. Woll started playing when he was 10 or 12.
"I took piano lessons for a couple months (when I started playing) but I didn't really love it," Woll told NHL.com last year. "I really just like playing what I like to play so I just took it for a few months when I was younger, and since then it's just been something I've worked on, on my own as a hobby outside of hockey."
Leafs fans, teammates, and coaches are sure hoping that Woll's performance the next time he takes to the ice is going to be a lot better than his singing with Kygo, that's for sure.
