The DoPS is not in the mood to mess around, as Oilers' Jake Walman has received not one, but two fines, for his clash with Matthew Tkachuk and the Florida bench.

Oilers fans and the team are not going to like this, as Jake Walman has been fined not once, but twice, for multiple incidents he was involved in during Game 3 last night against the Panthers.

The Department of Player Safety (DoPS) has fined Walman $5,000 twice, for a grand total of $10,000.

The first incident stemmed from a roughing play that he was involved in regarding Matthew Tkachuk. The second issue comes from an incident that involved Walman and the Florida bench.

Walman squirted water at the entire Panthers bench

Walman was seen squirting water at the Panthers players on their bench from his place on the visiting side, which even startled one of the on-ice reporters who was standing in the middle of the two benches.

'I obviously did that for a reason,' Walman said post-game, reluctant to further explain why. 'It's just gamesmanship, I guess.'

Walman received six minutes in penalties in Game 3, all of which were assessed with just under five minutes left in the game.

The 29-year-old blueliner has just one goal and eight points in 19 playoff games this spring. He had one goal and eight points in 15 games with the Oilers during the regular season after being acquired from the San Jose Sharks at the trade deadline.

Walman is also signed through next season at a cap hit of $3.4 million, and the Oilers will need him to have a cooler temper if they want to regroup and take down Florida in Game 4 on Thursday night.
