It was one of the busier days of late for the Adirondack Thunder as two familiar faces made their way back to Adirondack while also making a trade with the South Carolina Stingrays. Defenseman Benjamin Lindberg was also placed on waivers after recording 12 PIMs in nine games this season with the Thunder. He had a goal and two assists for three points in 14 SPHL games with the Peoria Rivermen and Roanoke Rail Yard Dawgs.
Defenseman Jackson van de Leest and forward Dylan Wendt have both been reassigned to the Adirondack Thunder.

Wendt, 25, returns to Adirondack for the first time since November after playing in 12 games with the Utica Comets, where he had two assists. He spent the last four days practicing with the New Jersey Devils. In 16 games with the Thunder, Wendt had four goals and nine assists for 13 points. I would expect Wendt to play top six minutes while back in Adirondack.
van de Leest, 24, returns to Adirondack for the first time since December. In his latest stint with the Comets, he had a goal and an assist in 10 games. During his time in Adirondack this season, he’s put up two goals and three assists for five points in 10 games. The 6’7 defenseman will add a huge boost to the Thunder’s powerplay which has been struggling as of late.
The Adirondack Thunder also announced that they’ve traded defenseman Ryan Orgel to the South Carolina Stingrays in exchange for cash considerations. Orgel had four assists in nine games during his second stint with Adirondack. Prior to joining the Thunder, he had two goals and four assists in six games with the Knoxville Ice Bears.
