The ECHL Department of Player Safety has announced one suspension and two fines stemming from Saturday Night’s Games.

Jordan Klimek Suspended

South Carolina Stingrays defenseman Jordan Klimek has been suspended one game and fined an undisclosed amount for his actions in Saturday Night’s game vs Orlando Solar Bears. Klimek would be part of the altercation at the 18:03 mark of the third period as he went after Orlando’s Anthony Bardaro and would be the only player to drop the gloves. The Langley, BC, native would be assessed a major for fighting, along with a game misconduct for being the aggressor. Per the ECHL Rule Book, any aggressor penalty coming in the last five minutes comes with a one-game suspension. In 16 games this season with the Stingrays, he has two goals. He will miss today’s game vs Orlando Solar Bears.

Over the course of his five-year ECHL career, Klimek has put up 20 goals and 26 assists for 46 points with the South Carolina Stingrays and Kansas City Mavericks. He has one assist in eight career Kelly Cup Playoff games.

Brett Davis Fined

Rapid City Rush Forward Brett Davis has been fined an undisclosed amount for his actions in Saturday’s game vs Idaho Steelheads. Davis would high-stick Idaho’s Angus MacDonell with less than a minute left in Rapid City’s 7-1 loss. In 24 games this season, he has five goals and four assists for nine points.

Over the course of his three-year career, Davis has put up 24 goals and 35 assists for 39 points in 107 games with the Florida Everblades and Rapid City Rush. He also played in 23 AHL games with the Calgary Wranglers, where he had three goals and two assists.

Marcus Crawford Fined

Kansas City Mavericks defenseman Marcus Crawford has been fined an undisclosed amount for his actions in Saturday Night’s game vs Utah Grizzlies. Crawford was assessed a game misconduct in the final seconds of Saturday’s game. In 25 games this season, he has four goals and 21 assists for 25 points.
