The Maine Mariners announced today the signing of a goaltender. They announced they’ve signed Christian Propp for the 2026-27 season. Training camp for the Mariners NHL club the Boston Bruins began and there is six goalies there with two of those expected to be in Providence and two in Maine, the Mariners added some depth with Propp.

Last seaason, he appeared in 11 ECHL games going 2-9-0 with a 3.96 goals-against average and a .870 save percentage. He played for the Greensboro Gargoyles, Tulsa Oilers, and Norfolk Admirals. He also played in the SPHL with the Pensacola Ice Flyers. In five games he went 3-2-0 with a 2.99 goals-against average and a .906 save percentage. In three playoff games he went 1-1-1 with a 2.98 goals-against average and a .913 save percentage.
Propp has appeared in 37 games in the ECHL with five different teams. He’s 12-19-4 with a 3.61 goals-against average and an .888 save percentage.
Before turning pro he spent three seasons at Wilfrid Laurier University in USports. He made 59 appearances going 28-30-1 with a 2.73 goals-against average, a .918 save percentage, and three shutouts. He also spent five seasons in the OHL with four different teams. Propp appeared in 162 games going 62-76-11 with a 3.86 goals-against average, a .888 save percentage, and four shutouts.
