The ECHL Department of Player Safety has suspended Adirondack Thunder forward Tanner Edwards three games and fined him an undisclosed amount for his actions in Game 4 of the North Division Semifinals. At the 9:15 mark of the third period, Edwards delivered a hit to the head of Maine’s Max Andreev. Edwards was not penalized for the hit. In 46 games this season, he had three goals and six assists for nine points. He has a goal and an assist for two points in four games during the 2026 Kelly Cup Playoffs. The 6’0, 170lb forward will miss tonight’s game vs Maine. If Adirondack is eliminated tonight, he will miss the next two games he’s on an ECHL roster. Chase McLane will be inserted in the lineup with Edwards suspended

Prior to going pro, Edwards spent parts of two seasons in the NAHL with the Fairbanks Ice Dogs. During his time with the Ice Dogs, he had 10 goals and 26 assists for 36 points in 60 games. He also spent one season in the USHL with the Muskegon Lumberjacks, where he had 10 goals and 13 assists for 23 points in 37 games. The Anchorage, Alaska native would lead the USHL that season with 206 PIMS. Edwards then spent four seasons in the NCAA with Minnesota State University (Mankato) and the University of Alaska-Fairbanks, where he had five goals and six assists for 11 points in 52 games.
